Premarin is used for:

Treating certain symptoms of menopause (eg, hot flashes, vaginal dryness or itching). It is used to prevent osteoporosis (weak bones) after menopause in certain patients. It is used in certain patients to treat low estrogen levels and prostate cancer and breast cancer. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Premarin is a mixture of female estrogen hormones. It works by replacing natural estrogens in women who no longer produce enough estrogen. It works for advanced prostate cancer by blocking male hormones.

Do NOT use Premarin if:

  • you are allergic to any ingredient in Premarin
  • you have had a severe reaction (eg, swelling of the hands, face, lips, eyes, throat, or tong

Do not cover the treated skin area unless your doctor has told you to.

Avoid using other medications on the areas you treat with sulfacetamide sodium and sulfur topical unless you doctor tells you to.

What is PCM-LA (chlorpheniramine, methscopolamine, and pseudoephedrine)?

Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that reduces the natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.

Methscopolamine reduces the secretions of certain organs in the body.

Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels in the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause nasal congestion (stuffy nose).

Papaverine is a vasodilating agent. It works by relaxing certain muscles (smooth muscle).

Do NOT use Papaverine if:
