Indications and Usage for Sumavel Dosepro

Acute Treatment of Migraine Attacks and Cluster Headache

Sumavel Dosepro (sumatriptan injection) is indicated for the acute treatment of migraine attacks, with or without aura, and the acute treatment of cluster headache episodes.

Important Limitations

Sumavel Dosepro should only be used where a clear diagnosis of migraine or cluster headache has been established. Care should be taken to exclude other potentially serious neurologic conditions before treating headache in patients not previously diagnosed with migraine or cluster headache or who experience a headache that is atypical for them.

For a given attack, if a patient does not respond to the first dose of Sumavel Dosepro, the diagnosis of migraine or cluster headache should be reconsidered before administration of a second dose.

Sumavel Dosepro is not intended for the prophylactic therapy of migraine or for use in the management of hemiplegic or basilar migraine. [see Contraindications (4.7)]

Sumavel Dosepro Dosage and Administration

Sumavel Dosepro is for subcutaneous use only and is designed for patient self-administration to the abdomen or thigh. Sumavel Dosepro is not to be administered to other areas of the body, including the arm. Sumavel Dosepro is not to be administered intramuscularly or intravenously.

Uses For sunitinib

Sunitinib belongs to the group of medicines known as antineoplastics. It is used to treat a gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) after a medicine called imatinib did not work very well. It may also be used when patients are not able to take imatinib. GIST is a group of cancer cells that start growing in the wall of the stomach, intestines, or rectum. Sunitinib is also used to treat advanced (late-stage) kidney cancer.

Sunitinib is also used to treat a type of pancreatic cancer called pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (pNET), that cannot be surgically removed and is locally advanced or metastatic (cancer that has spread).

Sunitinib interferes with the growth of cancer cells, which are eventually destroyed. Since the growth of normal body cells may also be affected by sunitinib, other effects will also occur. Some of these may be serious and must be reported to your doctor. Other effects, like hair loss, may not be serious but may cause concern. Some effects may not occur for months or years after the medicine is used.

Before you begin treatment with sunitinib, you and your doctor should talk about the benefits sunitinib will do as well as the risks of using it.

sunitinib is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Generic Name: flunixin meglumine injection, powder, for solution
Dosage Form: FOR ANIMAL USE ONLY

CAUTION:  Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

DESCRIPTION:  Each milliliter of SUPPRESSOR Injectable Solution contains flunixin meglumine equivalent to 50 mg flunixin, 0.1 mg edetate disodium, 2.2 mg sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate, 4.0 mg diethanolamine, 207.2 mg propylene glycol, 5.0 mg phenol as preservative, hydrochloric acid, water for injection q.s.

PHARMACOLOGY:  Flunixin meglumine is a potent, non-narcotic, nontsteroidal, analgesic agent with anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity.  It is significantly more potent than pentazocine, meperidine, and codeine as an analgesic in the rat yeast paw test.

Horse:  Flunixin is four times as potent on a mg-per-mg basis as phenylbutazone as measured by the reduction in lameness and swelling in the horse.  Plasma half-life in horse serum is 1.6 hours following a single dose of 1.1 mg/kg.  Measurable amounts are detectable in horse plasma at 8 hours postinjection.

Cattle:  Flunixin meglumine is a weak acid (pKa=5.82)1 which exhibits a high degree of plasma protein binding (approximately 99%)2.  However, free (unbound) drug appears to readily partition into body tissues (Vss predictions range from 297 to 782 mL/kg.2-5  Total body water is approximately equal to 570 mL/kg).6  In cattle, elimination occurs primarily through biliary excretion.7  This may, at least in part, explain the presence of multiple peaks in the blood concentration/time profile following IV administration.2

In health cattle, total body clearance has been reported to range from 90 to 151 mL/kg/hr.2-5  These studies also report a large discrepancy between the volume of distribution at steady

Seb-Prev Description

Each gram of Seb-Prev™ Gel contains 100 mg of Sulfacetamide Sodium USP in a vehicle consisting of edetate disodium, glycerin, methylparaben, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium thiosulfate, and xanthan gum.

Sulfacetamide sodium is C8H9N2NaO3S•H2O with a molecular weight of 254.24. Chemically, it is Acetamide N-[(4-aminophenyl)sulfonyl]-, monosodium salt, monohydrate, with the following structural formula:

Sulfacetamide sodium is an odorless, white, crystalline powder with a bitter taste. It is freely soluble in water, sparingly soluble in alcohol, while practically insoluble in benzene, in chloroform, and in ether.

Seb-Prev - Clinical Pharmacology

Sulfacetamide sodium exerts a bacteriostatic effect against sulfonamide sensitive Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms commonly isolated from secondary cutaneous pyogenic infections. It acts by restricting the synthesis of folic acid required by bacteria for growth, by its competition with para-aminobenzoic acid. There are no clinical data available on the degree and rate of systemic absorption of Seb-Prev™ Gel when applied to the skin or scalp. However, significant absorption of sulfacetamide sodium through the skin has been reported.

The following in vitro data are available but their clinical significance is unknown. O
